*\*Warning: This story details domestic violence.*

**Abigail** **Breslin** has opened up about surviving a violent relationship for two years, in the hopes that others going through similar will know they "CAN get out" too.

The *Scream Queens* and *Little Miss Sunshine* actress, now 26, is sharing her story for Domestic Violence Awareness Month, explaining on [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/p/CjtYZcxv-Sa/?ref=celebritykind.ghost.io) the horrific details of her situation:

"I was beaten on a regular basis, locked into rooms and forced to pretend everything was ok and normal while dealing with intense injuries... injuries most people didn't even see."

"The physical injuries were also accompanied by a plethora of put downs, shaming and harsh verbal abuse," she continues.

"I felt so unworthy of anyone's love. I felt ugly and hated. I felt like I deserved less than dirt. I was certain there must be something inherently WRONG with ME."

Thanks to her support network of family and friends, she says she was able to "leave this horrible situation" and is "still healing" from complex post traumatic stress disorder.

"I will forever be indebted to those closest to me for them not only assisting me but BELIEVING me."

Abigail is now engaged to Ira Kunyansky and says it's a "wonderful, healthy, happy and amazing relationship."

She ends her post with a powerful message:

"I hope sharing about my story at least helps some people feel a little bit less alone. If you are in an abusive relationship currently, you CAN get out of it. I know it seems impossible and terrifying, but you have survived so much and you CAN survive leaving if you have the right tools and support."
