Amanda, who is the founder of RISE, a nonprofit that helps sexual assault victims - and is a survivor herself - used her moment to acknowledge other survivors. Stepping off the spacecraft, she said to media:

"I just want every survivor and every person who's ever had a dream deferred to know that your dreams are valid. And even if your dreams are as wild as going to space, they matter. And you can get there too. If I can get there, you can get there too."

She also took to[ Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/p/DIcBCjyODYg/?ref=celebritykind.ghost.io) to share the special moment with fans:

"What justice feels like. I kept my promise. Touchdown."

This was the 11th human spaceflight for Bezos' Blue Origin. And it's the first all-woman crew since 1963 when Valentina Tereshkova from the Soviet Union made a solo mission to space.
