**America Ferrera** and **Ryan Piers Williams** have welcomed their second baby!

Instead of baby gifts, **America** and **Ryan** asked all their friends and family to collect essential supplies for kids at the US-Mexico border whose lives are in limbo right now as they wait to seek asylum.

"Quarantine may have canceled her Baby Shower," **America** writes on social media, "but it didn't stop us from collecting and delivering essential supplies to #YesWeCanMobileSchools - spaces for moms and children at the border to learn, play and stay safe through these hard times."

Some of the gifts donated by their loved ones included clothes, books, nappies, baby bottles, baby baths and toys.

The actress thanked her family and friends including celeb pal **Eva Longoria** for organising the original baby shower and for helping collect the donations.

According to the [**Yes We Can World Foundation**](http://www.yeswecan.world/?ref=celebritykind.ghost.io)**,** their mobile schools provide quality bilingual education for children regardless of their legal status or economic background.

**America** is also asking her one million followers who'd like to give a gift in Lucia's honour, to consider donating to the foundation too.
