# Beyoncé Releases Solo Album 'Renaissance' & Shares Sweet Message for Her Kids

**Beyoncé** fans - the time has finally come!

The superstar has released [*Renaissance*](https://music.beyonce.com/?queueittoken=e%5Fbeyonce~q%5Ff3177391-43e4-47e7-a0ec-4ae7a7aa582f~ts%5F1659070674~ce%5Ftrue~rt%5Fsafetynet~h%5Fb0091ff6326893d32f6ed779a67fd95eba6e905c07d6fa8cc075b8b36610d36a&ref=celebritykind.ghost.io)*,* her seventh studio album and her first solo album since 2016's *Lemonade.*

The LP, the first of three, features 16 tracks in total including the previously released single "Break My Soul."

"This three-act project was recorded over three years during the pandemic," the singer shared on her [website](http://beyonce.com/?ref=celebritykind.ghost.io) ahead of the album's release.

"A time to be still, but also a time I found to be the most creative. Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world."

She goes on to thank a number of people who helped her on her musical journey including Jay-Z, her parents, her Uncle Jonny who introduced her to music which inspired the album and her children:

"I want to give a special thank you to Rumi, Sir and Blue for allowing me the space, creativity and inspiration."

In a separate [Instagram post](https://www.instagram.com/p/CglPOPjOYsT/?ref=celebritykind.ghost.io), Beyoncé thanked her fans for waiting until the album's "proper release" after it was leaked online.

"I've never seen anything like it. I can't thank y'all enough for your love and protection. I appreciate you for calling out anyone that was trying to sneak into the club early. It means the world to me."

She ends her message with a sweet promise for us all: "I will continue to give my all and do my best to bring you joy."
