**Bruce Springsteen** has helped out an 11-year-old fan attending his concert - by signing her school absence note!

[In footage shared online](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6fTsECL4%5Fs&ref=celebritykind.ghost.io), the superstar can be seen on stage during his March 31 show at the Chase Center in San Francisco where he notices the young girl holding up a sign. It reads: SKIPPING SCHOOL, SIGN MY NOTE?

The short clip shows Springsteen reading the note then kneeling down to sign it while the audience cheers him on.

"BRUCE! YOU'RE AWESOME!" they can be heard yelling.

He then blows the young fan a friendly kiss, bows to the crowd and walks off stage with his E Street band.

Now we're not too sure how the note went down with the school, but we're guessing having an absence note signed by The Boss himself, is pretty amazing!

Meanwhile, it's been announced an upcoming Bruce Springsteen biopic titled *Deliver Me From Nowhere,* has now found a home with 20th Century Studios. The project, inspired by Warren Zanes' 2023 book *Deliver From Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen's Nebraska,* has been in the works since last month and of course, there's *lots* of talk about who will play the lead. According to a press release, *The Bear* and *The Iron Claw* star Jeremy Allen White is attached to the film but noy yet confirmed, Scott Cooper will be directing and Springsteen will also be involved.

Announcing the news, David Greenbaum, president at 20th Century Studios said in a statement: "It is a once-in-a-lifetime honour to be collaborating with Bruce Springsteen, an inspiring and incomparable artist who represents so much to so many. The deep authenticity of his story is in great hands with my friend Scott Cooper whom I am thrilled to be collaborating with once again."

Springsteen's longtime manager Jon Landau also shared his thoughts:

"Warren Zanes’ *Deliver Me From Nowhere* is one of the best books ever written about Bruce Springsteen and his music. Bruce and I are thrilled that Scott Cooper has chosen to write and direct the film based on that book – we think he’s the perfect filmmaker for the job. Scott, with Producers Ellen Goldsmith-Vein and Eric Robinson at The Gotham Group, and Scott Stuber are bringing together a superb team to ensure that this project has the vision and soul that have been the hallmark of Bruce’s 55-year career. We’re thrilled to have the wholehearted commitment and support of the entire team at 20th and Disney.”
