# Chadwick Boseman Took Pay Cut On "21 Bridges" to Boost Sienna Miller's Pay

Since **Chadwick Boseman's** passing from colon cancer last month, we have been bombarded with stories from those who knew him. And now Hollywood star **Sienna Miller** is adding another beautiful memory to the ever-growing list.

In a [new interview for *Empire's* October issue,](https://www.empireonline.com/movies/news/chadwick-boseman-boosted-sienna-miller-s-21-bridges-salary-from-his-own-pay/?ref=celebritykind.ghost.io) she discusses how **Chadwick** not only helped cast her in the 2019 film *21 Bridges,* but also took a pay cut to ensure she would receive better pay.

"This was a pretty big-budget film and I know that everybody understands about the pay disparity in Hollywood but I asked for a number that the studio wouldn't get to," **Sienna** says.

"And because I was hesitant to go back to work and my daughter was starting school and it was an inconvenient time, I said, 'I'll do it if I'm compensated in the right way.' And Chadwick ended up donating some of his salary to get me to the number that I had asked for. He said that that was what I deserved to be paid," she continues.

"It was about the most astounding thing that I've experienced. That kind of thing just doesn't happen," **Sienna** explains.

"It's just unfathomable to imagine another man in that town behaving that graciously or respectfully."

**Lupita Nyong'o** has also shared kind words about **Chadwick** on set, describing him as someone who inspired everyone to "be better, less petty, more purposeful."
