The stars of *Charlie's Angels* have reunited in a [video interview with *Vanity Fair*](https://www.vanityfair.com/video/watch/charlies-angels-reunion?ref=celebritykind.ghost.io) to celebrate one of their own - **Demi Moore!**

**Cameron Diaz, Lucy Liu** and **Drew Barrymore** all hopped on a zoom call with their friend to talk about her recent Best Actress Oscar nomination for her standout role in *The Substance.*

"I think I can speak for all of us. We are so proud of you," Lucy told Demi. "This performance, you've always had it in you and in all of the work that you've done. There's so much vulnerability in the strength that you are able to put on camera."

Lucy continued, "That moment of you taking the makeup off to reveal the psychological toll of this kind of unattainable pressure from society of what beauty is and what ageing is or what is commercial. It was done in a way where you really captured that rawness. That feeling of being insecure but also comfortable with yourself, but then realising that other people aren't comfortable with yourself."

Cameron agreed, pointing out that women "are under attack every day" and are objectified whether they are a movie star or not. "In watching you give this performance, you don't have to ask anybody's permission. It's as if there was a constitution written in the film industry that laid out what the film industry was, and everybody has been abiding by it for the last however many decades. Y'all went in and just shredded it to pieces and said, I do not agree with this constitution. We are rewriting this. And not only that, but we're going to do it in the most audacious, violent way that you could possibly do it."

Drew went on to highlight how Demi herself has never had to "ask for the outside world's approval," and has always championed authenticity.

In *The Substance,* Demi plays Elizabeth Sparkle, a former actor and fitness icon who injects herself with an experimental substance to keep her youthful and relevant. She has already won a Golden Globe for the role and is also nominated for a Critics Choice Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and a BAFTA!

The four women who all appeared onscreen together in *Charlies Angels* back in 2000 - and have been friends ever since - last publicly reunited for Lucy's Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony in 2019.
