# Chris Evans Named People's Sexiest Man Alive

**Chris Evans** is *People's* Sexiest Man Alive for 2022!

Talk-show host **Stephen Colbert** made the announcement during *The Late Show,* sharing a clip of the *Captain America* and *Lightyear* star accepting the honour from past title holder **Dwayne Johnson.**

It wasn't just a quick swap of the crown though. The Rock hilariously took some time to point out that he never actually gave up the title:

"Let me ask you a question, brother. Am I alive? I'm still alive. Am I still sexy? You bet your sexy mouth I am."

Chris, being the kind-hearted soul that he is, agreed to "share" the title and when asked to say something "sexy" to the camera, came up with "Go vote tomorrow."

Speaking to [*People,*](https://people.com/movies/chris-evans-people-sexiest-man-alive-2022/?ref=celebritykind.ghost.io)he shared that his mum Lisa would be particularly thrilled about the news, "she's proud of everything I do but this is something she can really brag about."

And she certainly is proud. The publication got a hold of Lisa who tells them she is "not surprised at all."
