**Sean "Diddy" John Combs** has a new middle name - and we *love it!*

The superstar has revealed that he's legally changed it from "John" to "Love," posting a photo of his new driver's licence as proof on Instagram.

"Look what I just got in the mail today," he captioned the pic.

"IT'S OFFICIAL!! WELCOME TO THE LOVE ERA."

The rapper, who has gone from "Puff Daddy" to "P. Diddy" to "Diddy" over his decades-long career, first suggested he wanted to change his name back in November 2017.

He posted a message on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/diddy/status/926915432556015616?ref=celebritykind.ghost.io) at the time saying he wanted to be known as "Love or Brother Love" but followed it up a few days later saying he was "only joking."

So, understandably, a lot of people have been questioning whether he's for real this time....and yes, he is!

"Imma need y'all to take me seriously on this one," he shared in a second message on social media along with a photo of his legal papers declaring the name change.

More love in the world? Why not.
