**Dua Lipa** has a new gig - she's been named the Honorary Ambassador of Kosovo!

The British-born "Levitating" singer whose parents are Kosovo Albanian, was presented with the prestigious honour by Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani during a ceremony last week.

"It's an honour and a privilege to be able to represent my country all over the world and to continue my work and efforts globally to see that we leave our mark and make a difference," she writes on Instagram, before highlighting some of the efforts she'll be championing in her role:

"The youth of Kosovo deserves the right to visa liberalisation, freedom to travel and dream big."

President Osmani praised the singer's global humanitarian efforts and for honouring Kosovo "in every step and every appearance."

"Aside from being a world-class and a once-in-a-generation musician, you are also a role model for many girls and women across the world as a forthright and conscientious activist," Osmani writes on [Instagram.](https://www.instagram.com/p/Cg4peixIuuP/?ref=celebritykind.ghost.io)

"But above all, what you have done for the people of Kosovo, in raising awareness of the Republic of Kosovo is unmatched and truly invaluable."
