It feels like every single celebrity from **Madonna** to **Jaden Smith** and **Cristiano Ronaldo** has been raising awareness on social media about the wildfires ripping through the Amazon. And now that the world is paying attention, the question is, *how do we help?*

It looks like **Leonardo DiCaprio** may have the answer.

The Hollywood star's new environmental foundation [**Earth Alliance**](https://ealliance.org/?ref=celebritykind.ghost.io), started last month with philanthropists **Laurene Powell Jobs** and **Brian Sheth**, has created an emergency Amazon Forest Fund and is pledging US $5million (AU $7 million) in aid to the Amazon.

The funds will be distributed to five groups, all working locally to not only combat the wildfires that are sweeping through the region, but also help rebuild and regenerate the area. They include Instituto Associacao Floresta Protegida, Coordination of the Indigenous Organisations of the Brazilian Amazon, Istituto Kabu, Instituto Raoni and Instituto Socioambiental.

**Earth Alliance** is now hoping for donations from the public too:
