No parent wants to send their child to school feeling scared and **Josh Duhamel** is no exception.

While the actor describes himself as a *"proud gun owner"* in his latest Insta post, he also says he's a dad - and that's why he's getting behind the TOMS campaign to #EndGunViolenceTogether.

In case you missed it, TOMS founder **Blake Mycoskie** recently appeared on **Fallon Tonight** and announced a US$5 million donation to organisations in America working to end gun violence. Plus he's set up a super easy online system where people can send postcards to Congress calling for universal background checks. (Over 600k postcards have been sent so far! See video below.)

**Josh,** who has a 5-year-old son **Axl Jack Duhamel** with **Fergie,** is asking his fans to send those postcards out to their Representatives too. *"I'm also a father to a young son."* he says, *"and I don't want him going to school scared."*

Josh says he's part of the 90% of Americans who agree that gun owners should have universal background checks.
