# Everything We Know About Britney Spears' Pregnancy News

**Britney Spears** has shared a post on [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/p/CcONvpGOelB/?ref=celebritykind.ghost.io) announcing some HUGE news! Here's what she wrote:

"I lost so much weight to go on my Maui trip only to gain it back 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ … I thought “Geez … what happened to my stomach ???” My husband said “No you’re food pregnant silly 🤪 !!!” So I got a pregnancy test … and uhhhhh well … I am having a baby 👶🏼 …"

An hour or so later, Britney's fiancé **Sam Asghari** shared a [post](https://www.instagram.com/p/CcOnyBevSVC/?ref=celebritykind.ghost.io) of his own describing how much fatherhood means to him and that it's "the most important job" he will do. His words were accompanied by a watercolour of a family of lions - which was especially sweet given he often refers to Britney as a "lioness".

And not long ago, Britney's assistant **Vicky T,** shared a selfie with Britney, captioning it "overflowing with love."

While neither Britney's or Sam's reps have commented or confirmed the news, I think it's safe to say, there's a baby on the way!

It's also really important to highlight the rest of Britney's Instagram post which referenced two points:

1. She refers to the paparazzi and how she won't be going out as much so she can avoid them - a great reminder, even though we would love to see her pregnancy pics, that the mental health impact of paparazzi culture is not worth the click!; and
2. She says that in previous pregnancies she's experience peri-natal depression which she describes as "absolutely horrible" and something that wasn't spoken about in the past.

Knowing these two things and seeing that she's stated them loud and clear - there is absolutely NO reason any pap or publication should be pursuing her.

Britney will share the photos in time. When she's ready. Let's hope the media can respect that.

This will be Britney's first child with Sam. She already has two teenage sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James Federline.
