*Joker: Folie à Deux* filmmaker **Todd Phillips** has just shared the first photo of **Lady Gaga** in character for the film!

While we don't know for sure who she's playing yet, she's widely believed to be taking on the role of Harley Quinn, previously played by **Margot Robbie.** In the pic posted on social media - on U.S. Valentine's Day, of course - Gaga's character can be seen staring into the eyes of the Joker.

Phillips had previously shared a photo of **Joaquin Phoenix** who is reprising his role as Arthur Fleck:

Filming is currently underway in New York City and Los Angeles, with a release date set for October 4, 2024.

Gaga [announced](https://celebritykind.ghost.io/content/files/2026/09/lady-gaga-confirms-shell-star-in-joker-sequel-4.html) her involvement in the sequel in October last year, but didn't give away any information about her character.
