# Grey's Fan Asked Ellen Pompeo to Wish Her "Person" a Happy Birthday, and She Did!

A *Grey's Anatomy* fan has scored her BFF - who is also a mega Grey's fan - a sweet shoutout from none other than Meredith Grey herself!

In a message posted to Twitter, a woman named Krys tagged actress **Ellen Pompeo** who stars in the hit TV series, explaining it was her friend Nicole's birthday.

"It's a long shot....@EllenPompeo, my best friend and I have been watching @GreysABC since it aired back in 2005\. We're each other's person," she tweeted, making reference to the famous line repeated by Meredith and her BFF Cristina Yang on the show.

"Would you be able to wish Nicole a Happy Birthday?" she asked the actress.

Krys also shared a photo of herself and Nicole enjoying some fancy drinks together, captioning it:

"The Cristina to my Meredith. Happy birthday."

Yep, as you can imagine, the surprise shoutout went down pretty well with the birthday girl!
