# Gwyneth Paltrow's Sweet Message For Apple's 17th Birthday

Ok. First of all, **Apple Martin** is 17!

Is it just me or does it feel like only yesterday, actress **Gwyneth Paltrow** and *Coldplay* singer **Chris Martin** were still consciously coupled, sharing their baby news with the world ...and justifying their daughter's name?

"It sounded so sweet, and it conjured such a lovely picture for me, you know. Apples are so sweet and they're wholesome and it's biblical," Gwyneth said during an appearance on *The Oprah Winfrey Show* in 2004.

Well, little Apple is all grown up now and her famous mama is celebrating her daughter with a heartfelt message on Instagram:

"Can it be? 17 today??" Gwyneth begins. (We hear you G!)

"My sweetest girl....YOU ARE MY LIFE! You make me belly laugh every day. You are brilliant and hardworking. You are fully YOU which I respect and admire so much," she continues, sharing a gorgeous photo of Apple looking into the distance.

"I wish I had had even a spoonful of the self-acceptance you have when I was your age. You are so inspiring and just so cool. I can remember the morning you came into the world so perfectly. I just can't believe it was 17 years ago."

She ends with "Happy Birthday, my angel."

Gwyneth is also mum to 15-year-old son Moses.
