*Jane The Virgin* and *Yes Day* actress **Jenna Ortega** has scored the lead role in a new Netflix show all about Wednesday Addams.

The eight-episode series (which is called *Wednesday.*..and was announced on Wednesday...) will be a live-action, coming-of-age, comedic take on the life of the Addams Family's goth daughter, directed by **Tim Burton.**

It'll follow Wednesday's time at Nevermore Academy where she tries to figure out her psychic abilities, stop a killing spree and solve some supernatural mysteries. You know, *usual school stuff.*

In a post on Instagram, Jenna shared her exciting news with her 6.2 million fans:

"New chapter," she writes holding up a script that reads "WEDNESDAY" in bold letters.

"Hope I can do Wednesday Addams justice. *snaps twice*"

No word yet on a release date. But surely, it'll be...on a Wednesday?
