Not that we needed another reason to love Modern *Family* star **Jesse Tyler Ferguson** and lawyer/producer **Justin Mikita** any more, but *here we are!*

The beloved couple is expanding their marriage equality nonprofit to address more challenges facing the LGBTQIA+ community.

Firstly, they're changing its name to **PRONOUN** (it was originally called Tie The Knot) and secondly, they're aiming to address the oppression and inequality so many trans and non-binary people continue to face every single day.

Making the announcement on their socials on the third Wednesday of October which happens to be International Pronouns Day, the couple shared a letter from Jesse highlighting their gratitude for how much they've achieved so far and their hopes for what's to come:

"Many of you know Justin & I started Tie The Knot in 2012 to raise funds for marriage equality when there were only 7 states (&the District of Columbia!) with marriage equality," he begins.

"Since then, we have proudly raised over 1.5 million dollars and supported important and impactful LGBTQIA+ orgs across the nation, flooded the Supreme Court with wedding save the dates, helped on the ground in Illinois and New Mexico to pass marriage legislation & even taught a lot of you to "just breathe" through the constant stress and anxiety of tying your bow ties," Jesse continues.

"Well, now in 2021, while marriage may be here - other new challenges are here too. Our trans and non-binary families are being legislated against in states across the country; trans people, especially trans women of colour, are being murdered across the country; the equality act still has not passed in Congress; and so much more." he explains.

"We still have so much work to do. Oppression is alive and it is our job to continue marching in solidarity with every movement until we are all free."

In marking the launch of PRONOUN and to celebrate International Pronouns Day, the couple shared they'd be making donations to five groups working for equality including the [Audre Lorde Project](http://alp.org/?ref=celebritykind.ghost.io), [Human Rights Campaign](http://hrc.org/?ref=celebritykind.ghost.io), [TGI Justice Project,](http://tgijp.org/?ref=celebritykind.ghost.io) [The TransLatin@ Coalition](http://translatincoalition.org/?ref=celebritykind.ghost.io) and [Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund.](http://transgenderlegal.org/?ref=celebritykind.ghost.io)
