**John Travolta** has shared a short and sweet message on what would've been **Kelly Preston's** 59th birthday.

The Hollywood star took to Instagram to honour his late wife, who passed away from breast cancer last year, posting a photo of her smiling and waving at photographers at a red carpet event.

"Happy birthday Kelly. We miss and love you very much," John captioned the pic.

John regularly shares messages of love for Kelly on social media. Earlier this year, he paid tribute to her on Mother's Day writing, "Dearest Kelly, you brought into my life three of the most wonderful children I have ever known. Thank you. We love and miss you."

Their kids include 21 year old Ella, 10 year old Ben and Jett, who passed away at the age of 16 in 2009.
