It's true - Dr Addison Forbes Montgomery is officially returning to Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital!

Actress **Kate Walsh** has announced the exciting news in a video posted to the *Grey's Anatomy* Insta page, saying it "feels so good to be home again."

Kate first appeared on the show in Season 1, as the wife of Patrick Dempsey's character, Derek Shepherd and became a series regular before joining the Grey's spinoff, *Private Practice.*

She's continued to make occasional guest appearances on the long-running medical drama - because who else is Chief Bailey supposed to call when she needs a world-class neonatal surgeon?
