**Lindsay Lohan** has scored a new role!

The actress will portray a young woman named Maddie in Netflix rom-com *Irish Wish.* What's it all about? Well...

"When the love of her life gets engaged to her best friend, Maddie puts her feelings aside to be a bridesmaid at their wedding in Ireland," an official synopsis from the streaming giant reads.

I know what you're thinking. Sounds a lot like *My Best Friend's Wedding* starring **Julia Roberts** and **Cameron Diaz,** right? But no... *Irish Wish* is very different:

"Days before the pair are set to marry, Maddie makes a spontaneous wish for true love, only to wake up as the bride-to-be. With her dream seeming to come true, Maddie soon realises that her real soulmate is someone else entirely."

This will be Lindsay's second project with the streaming giant. Her first, *Falling for Christmas,* is set for release in November. She'll portray an hotel heiress grappling with amnesia who falls for a lodge owner played by **Chord Overstreet.**
