As you can imagine, there were cheers all 'round when **Ludacris** rocked up to Hialeah-Miami Lakes Senior High School last month.

And that wasn't even the real surprise!

The rap star and actor was actually there to deliver US $75,000 worth of musical instruments and equipment to the kids too!

His organisation, **The Ludacris Foundation** teamed up with live ticketing distributor **StubHub** and **Mr Holland's Opus Foundation** to donate the goods.

"I have to pay it forward, man," **Ludacris** told reporters. "I always have to lead by example."

According to Kevin Segura, the school's band director, the music department had undergone funding cuts so **Ludacris'** donation will have a huge impact on music programs within the school.
