# Michelle Williams to Narrate Britney Spears' Memoir

**Michelle Williams** will be lending her voice to the audiobook version of **Britney Spears'** memoir, *The Woman in Me.* 

In an exclusive statement to [*People,*](https://people.com/britney-spears-memoir-the-woman-in-me-narrated-michelle-williams-exclusive-8357265?ref=celebritykind.ghost.io) it was confirmed the Oscar nominee is narrating a large portion of the book whilst the pop icon will be recording the introduction.

"This book has been a labour of love and all the emotions that come with it. Reliving everything has been exciting, heart-wrenching, and emotional, to say the least. For those reasons, I will only be reading a small part of my audiobook," Britney's statement reads.

She adds, "I am so grateful to the amazing Michelle Williams for reading the rest of it."

Michelle also shared a short statement of support with *People*: "I stand with Britney."

The highly anticipated memoir will be released on October 24.

Publisher Gallery Books (an imprint of Simon & Schuster) previously [said](https://celebritykind.ghost.io/content/files/2026/09/when-is-britney-releasing-memoir-4.html) the book is a “brave and astonishingly moving story about freedom, fame, motherhood, survival, faith, and hope.”

The book is being released almost 2 years after Britney was freed from a 13-year conservatorship.
