# Nick Carter Shares Words of Love for Late Brother, Aaron

**Nick Carter** has shared a heartfelt message following the passing of his younger brother, **Aaron Carter.**

Taking to social media, the Backstreet Boys singer shared a series of photos of them together as kids. He writes, "My heart is broken. Even though my brother and I have had a complicated relationship, my love for him has never ever faded."

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, 34-year-old Aaron was found unresponsive at his home in Lancaster, California on Saturday. No further details have been released yet. Aaron had previously struggled with substance abuse and mental illness.

Nick's message continues: "I have always held on to the hope that he would somehow, someday want to walk a healthy path and eventually find the help that he so desperately needed. Sometimes we want to blame someone or something for a loss, but the truth is that addiction and mental illness is the real villain here."

Nick ends his post by sharing how much he loves his little bro:

"I love you Chizz. Now you can finally have the peace you could never find here on earth. I love you baby brother."

Aaron is survived by his 11-month-old son, Prince.
