Olivia Rodrigo is using her platform to speak up about Gaza.

In a now-expired Instagram story, the GRAMMY-winning superstar wrote:

"There are no words to describe the heartbreak I feel witnessing the devastation that is being inflicted upon innocent people in Palestine. Mothers, fathers and children in Gaza are starving, dehydrated and being denied access to basic medical care and humanitarian aid. There is no child in Israel, Palestine or anywhere in the world who deserves to suffer through what we're seeing these children have to endure. It is horrific and completely unacceptable. To give up on them is to give up on our shared humanity."

In her post, Olivia added that she had donated to UNICEF to support victims and encouraged her 39.5 million followers to "do the same if you have the means."

She joins artists from around the world who are speaking up about the atrocities that occur daily in Gaza including Hollywood stars **Angelina Jolie, Mark Ruffalo, Javier Bardem, Nicola Coughlan** and **Susan Sarandon,** fellow musicians **Billie Eilish, Macklemore, Kehlani, The Weeknd** and **Kid Cudi,** photographer **Misan Harriman** and models **Bella Hadid** and **Luisa Dunn.**

One of the most outspoken creators has been kids entertainer [**Ms. Rachel** ](https://celebritykind.ghost.io/ms-rachel-meets-rahaf-from-gaza/)who is consistently using her platform to call for the safety of all children:

"We know treating children like they are being treated in Gaza isn’t right morally and ethically. We know it in our souls and hearts," she said after meeting with 3-year-old double amputee, Rahaf.

Earlier, she also met with the family of Israeli hostages and posted, "If you sat with this family member and listened- if you thought of your own precious family-there’s no way you wouldn’t feel absolute anguish and wish for nothing more than this family to be whole again. I pray every day for the release of the hostages.”
