She was hard to spot, wearing a baseball cap, a mask *and* sunglasses - but **Rihanna** was definitely there, with the important message: Stop Asian Hate.

The superstar joined her assistant **Tina Truong** on the streets of New York City on Sunday, as well as hundreds of others to rally against the rise in violence against Asians.

In a post on Instagram, Tina shared photos from the day, including one of RiRi holding a sign that read "HATE = RACISM AGAINST GOD" on one side and "#StopAsianHate" on the other.

She captioned it, "This is what solidarity looks like!" (Swipe to see.)

Tina also shared a cute moment in her Insta stories where Rihanna gave her Insta handle to a fellow protestor, who had *no idea* it was the superstar behind the mask marching along with him!

"That's you?" he can be heard saying in the now viral clip.

Marches to support the Asian community have been held all around the U.S (and the world) in the wake of a mass shooting which left eight people dead at three Asian-owned spas in Atlanta last month. There have also been countless attacks on elderly Asians. In fact, a recent report from the Centre for the Study of Hate and Extremism in California found that anti-Asian hate crimes have increased 150 percent last year in many cities in America.

Rihanna's Clara Lionel Foundation recently teamed up with Twitter boss Jack Dorsey [to donate $3,000,000](https://celebritykind.ghost.io/content/files/2026/09/rihanna-jack-dorsey-donate-3-million-to-organisations-working-to-stopasianhate-1.html) to causes supporting Asian Americans.
