**Rihanna's** foundation has donated US $5 million to a bunch of organisations helping with coronavirus relief efforts.

The **Clara Lionel Foundation** (named after Riri's grandparents, Clara and Lional Braithwaite) made the announcement over the weekend and the money will go towards supporting local food banks, virus testing programs in Haiti and Malawi, healthcare worker training, and the distribution of respiratory supplies and other vital medical equipment.

"When we first began this year, never could we have imagined how COVID-19 would so dramatically alter our lives," the foundation said.

"It doesn't matter who you are or where you're from, this pandemic will affect us all. And for the world's most vulnerable, the worst may be yet to come."

There are a number of organisations benefiting from the donation including **Direct Relief, The World Health Organisation's COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund, the International Rescue Committee** and **Feeding America.**

The **Clara Lionel Foundation** was started by **Rihanna** in 2012 and is funded by her star-studded "Diamond Balls" as well as partnerships with major fashion and beauty brands including Riri's own **Fenty** makeup line.
