# Sofia Richie & Elliot Grainge are Married!

**Sofia Richie** and **Elliot Grainge** have said "I do!"

The model and music executive who announced their engagement in April last year, tied the knot during a ceremony in the South of France.

According to *British Vogue* which has shared pictures of her dress fittings (you can see them [HERE!)](https://www.instagram.com/p/CrWS8GAtoGy/?utm%5Fsource=ig%5Fweb%5Fcopy%5Flink), the wedding took place at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes where the bride wore a Chanel haute couture gown.

Earlier in the day, Sofia posted a series of photos of the festivities on the morning of her wedding. "The big day," she captioned one of the pics, sharing a table set for 10 on an outdoor patio, decorated with lots of pink balloons.

Sofia and Elliot grew up together as friends because their dads, music legend Lionel Richie and CEO of Universal Music Group Sir Lucien Grainge, had been long-time collaborators.

"I've known him since he was 12," Lionel told [*Access Hollywood*](https://www.accessonline.com/videos/lionel-richie-says-daughter-sofias-fiance-was-a-nervous-wreck-asking-permission-to-marry-her?ref=celebritykind.ghost.io)of his now son-in-law after the couple announced their engagement. "It was one of those things where I don't have to go back and check out the kid. I know who it is."

In a [later interview,](https://www.accessonline.com/videos/lionel-richie-says-daughter-sofias-fiance-was-a-nervous-wreck-asking-permission-to-marry-her?ref=celebritykind.ghost.io) he added that Elliot was a "nervous wreck" asking Lionel for permission to marry Sofia!
