And while we wait - rather impatiently - trailer 2 has dropped giving us a glimpse of stars **Blake Lively** and **Justin Baldoni** as Lily and Ryle. The clip takes us through their intense first meeting on a rooftop *and* the intense chemistry that follows. And just to throw in a little more intensity, Atlas, Lily's past love played by **Brandon Sklenar,** also enters the scene. Suddenly Lily is caught between two worlds: The first trailer, released in May, is perfectly set to Taylor Swift’s “My Tears Ricochet” and begins with a smiling Lily opening her florist with bestie Allysa. The clip shifts between pure joy and moments where Lily is clearly overcome with pain and sadness too. And of course there’s a young Lily and young Atlas too played by **Isabela Ferrer** and **Alex Neustaedter**. When news of the epic casting first came out, Colleen took to [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/p/CrRNR3eO4Jp/?ref=celebritykind.ghost.io) to share her excitement: “Cannot wait for this. Loving the cast so far. Feels like a dream.” ![Blake Lively and Brandon SKlenar in a restaurant scene in It Ends With Us](https://storage.ghost.io/c/cf/bb/cfbb8a7e-9a81-48ec-83e6-18e106bf4f7a/content/images/2026/09/501c6d4e-74b2-46a6-ad69-4afed1c8a420-2.jpg) Blake Lively and Brandon Sklenar as Lily Bloom and Atlas Corrigan in a scene from ‘It Ends With Us’. The hugely popular book by **Colleen Hoover** explores themes of domestic violence, masculinity, jealousy, heartache and more. According to Colleen, we can expect the film to follow the book pretty closely: there's the present day story of Lily, a young entrepreneur who grew up in an abusive home and falls for a neurosurgeon named Ryle, as well as the past story of Lily’s relationship with a homeless friend named Atlas. When Atlas reappears in her life years later, Lily finds herself navigating her relationships, and her heart. Per the official synopsis, “Lily realises she must learn to rely on her own strength to make an impossible choice for her future.” **Justin Baldoni** has said the team behind *It Ends With Us* has partnered with nonprofit [**NoMore.org**](http://www.nomore.org/?ref=celebritykind.ghost.io) to ensure the project is “made with purpose and the intention to educate, support and ultimately provide resources for viewers.” ![Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni as their characters Lily Bloom and Ryle Kincaid in It Ends With Us, they are smiling at each other and holding microphones](https://storage.ghost.io/c/cf/bb/cfbb8a7e-9a81-48ec-83e6-18e106bf4f7a/content/images/2026/09/45f8b1f9-f7bd-4b55-b1ac-bcbd8d3e49aa-2.jpg) Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni as Lily Bloom and Ryle Kincaid in ‘It Ends With Us’.
