Actor Ernie Lively Has Passed Away, Aged 74

Veteran actor Ernie Lively, the father of Blake Lively, has sadly passed away, aged 74.

According to a statement made by his reps to ET, he died on Thursday in Los Angeles, after experiencing cardiac complications.

Ernie had a career which spanned more than five decades and appeared in over 100 films and TV shows including The Dukes of Hazzard, The X-Files, Murder She Wrote, The West Wing and notably, played Blake's character's dad in The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants and its sequel.

He's survived by his wife Elaine, children Blake, Eric, Lori, Robyn and Jason and nine grandchildren.
