Avril Lavigne has some happy news!
The singer has announced she's engaged to boyfriend and fellow musician Mod Sun.
In a post on Insta, Avril shared a series of photos of the proposal which took place in Paris as well as an up-close look of her sparkly engagement ring:
"Oui! Je t'aime pour toujours," she captioned the pics, adding "Dimanche. 27. Mars. 2022" which translates to "Yes, I love you forever. Sunday, March 27, 2022."
Mod Sun also shared the news on his Insta page sharing some poetic words of love:
"The day we met I knew you were the one.
Together forever til our days are done.
I had a dream where I proposed in Paris.
I pulled out a ring + asked you to wear it.
I was on one knee as I looked in your eyes.
You’re too beautiful for my words to describe.
I grabbed your hand + took one last breath…
I said 'will you marry me?' + she said 'yes'."
Avril and Mod Sun have been together for at least a year. They've also collabed together on a number of songs including "Love Sux" which will appear on Avril's forthcoming album.
