Beyoncé Celebrates "Visionary" Solange

Beyoncé is celebrating musician and composer Solange, who also happens to be her younger sis!

At 36, Solange has become the second Black woman in the history of the New York City Ballet (we're talking 74 years!) to write an original composition for them.

Her work debuted at the end of last month during the Fall Fashion Gala at the Lincoln Center. In a message on Instagram, Beyoncé took a moment to highlight Solange's success:

"My beloved sister, there are no words to express the pride and admiration I have for you," she begins.

"You are a visionary and one of one....The piece you composed is phenomenal. I love you deep."

Beyoncé ends her tribute with a sassy message: "Might I suggest you don't f*** with my sis."

Musician Lido Pimienta who has Afro/Indigenous/Colombian/Canadian roots was the first Black woman to compose music for the famous ballet company in 2021.
