Happy news for Britney Spears and Sam Asghari!

The couple who met on the set of Britney's "Slumber Party" music video back in 2016, began dating shortly afterwards and have stuck together through all the ups and downs of her conservatorship are now engaged!

They both shared their wonderful news on Insta:

"I can't f***ing believe it," Britney captioned a video of her next to Sam, showing us the sparkling diamond, while Sam shared a cheeky photo of Britney sticking up her ring finger at the camera:

The happy news comes amid Britney's ongoing legal battle to end her conservatorship. Her father, Jamie Spears, who has been in control of her finances and decision-making for the last 13 years, recently filed a petition to end it all but it hasn't quite happened yet.

In a court hearing earlier this year, Britney told the Los Angeles Superior Court's Judge Brenda Penny that she wanted to marry and have a child with Sam but the conservatorship has stopped her from doing so.

The next court date is set for late September.
