Britney Spears is showing some love to all those who've pushed the #FreeBritney movement.
The superstar, who recently returned from a short holiday to French Polynesia with fiancé Sam Asghari, posted a message on Instagram saying she's been moved to tears by the support of her fans.
"#FreeBritney movement....I have no words...because of you guys and your constant resilience in freeing me from my conservatorship...my life is now in that direction!!!!"
"I cried last night for two hours cause my fans are the best and I know it...I feel your hearts and you feel mine...that much I know is true !!!!!"
AdvertisementThe #FreeBritney hashtag has been around for over a decade in response to a legal conservatorship the superstar has been locked into. It resurfaced more powerfully this year after the New York Times' Framing Britney Spears documentary came out, scrutinising her father Jamie Spears' control over her life and finances.
But last week, a judge ruled in favour of suspending Jamie as conservator. And there are moves to end the conservatorship altogether.
So while she's not quite free yet, Britney is.... almost there.
