Buckingham Palace has issued a statement following Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan's interview with Oprah Winfrey this week.

"The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan," the message, released on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen, begins.

"The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately," the statement continues.

"Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members."

During the Sussexes interview, they spoke highly of The Queen and maintained they do still have a relationship with Her Majesty.

They also talked about their son Archie not receiving a royal title or protection, as well as private discussions with unnamed royals about "how dark" his skin might be before he was born.

Both Harry and Meghan shared feeling not supported during the onslaught of tabloid hate and Meghan opened up about having suicidal thoughts.

But despite a turbulent few years, both Meghan and Harry spoke of their happiness together and their excitement of welcoming a baby girl into the family.
