The lead cast of People We Meet on Vacation has been announced - and it's perfect!
On August 2, Netflix announced the film adaptation of Emily Henry's best-selling novel will star My Lady Jane's Emily Bader as Poppy Wright and The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes' Tom Blyth as Alex Nilsen.
The news was shared through a clip of a Zoom call from director Brett Haley who told Emily she'd landed the role.
"Oh, I'm gonna crying! Are you serious? Are you kidding? What the hell, this is crazy!" Emily said through tears of happiness before Tom joined the call, smiling along.
Author Emily Henry then surprised the two of them by joining the call to share her excitement too:

I just truly could not feel any more confident that my readers and then so many more people who don't even know about the book are going to completely, completely fall in love with Poppy and Alex, with you guys playing them."
