Gina Rodriguez & Joe LoCicero Announce They're Expecting First Child

Gina Rodriguez has announced some big news - she and husband, fellow actor and MMA fighter Joe LoCicero, are expecting their first child together!

The Jane the Virgin star, producer and advocate for Latinx communities, shared the news on Instagram, where she posted a heartfelt montage of photos of the two of them, including one of her holding a positive pregnancy test, visibly emotional.

"This birthday hits different," Gina, who is celebrating her 38th trip around the sun, captioned the post.

Their news was met with love and excitement from their friends including Gina's fellow Jane the Virgin star Jamie Camil who posted: "My heart is bursting for you two" and Gina's Someone Great co-star Brittany Snow, who commented "Yaaaaay my love!! So much love for you THREE."

Gina and Joe first met on the set of Jane the Virgin back in 2016 (you might remember he guest starred as a stripper for Jane's bachelorette party!), and tied the knot in May 2019.
