Hayden Panettiere, the talented actor known for her roles in Nashville, Heroes and the Scream movies, has passed away.
Her father, Skip Panettiere, confirmed the sad news in a statement to ABC News. Part of it reads:
"She was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her, and to the millions who watched her onscreen.'
Her cause of death hasn't been shared.
Earlier this year, Hayden released her memoir, This is Me: A Reckoning, where she opened up about the traumas of being a child star, as well as experiencing depression, addiction and more.
In addition to acting, Hayden was an animal advocate. In 2007, when she was 18 years old, Hayden joined a group of activists in Japan to stop a group of dolphins being killed. The mission became the focal point of award-winning documentary, The Cove.
Hayden was 36 years old. She leaves behind her daughter, 11-year-old Kaya.
