Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness were doing the same thing as the rest of us last night - watching Oprah's interview with Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan!

And this morning, Hugh has praised the couple for speaking so openly about their mental health.

In a video posted to Twitter, Hugh says he and Deb watched on with "astonishment" as two high-profile people spoke "with so much dignity about really the hardest time in their life and their cry for help."

During the interview, Meghan revealed having suicidal thoughts before stepping back as a royal:

"I just didn't want to be alive anymore" she told Oprah.

"I thought it would have solved everything for everyone."

Hugh, who is a board member for mental health non-profit Gotcha4Life, said he hoped everyone watched the interview because "it is such an incredible example to never worry alone. Seek help. And if you're not getting help where you're looking for it, keep looking. Because there is always help."

"Thank you Meghan. Thank you Harry, for your courage," he added.
