Actress, producer, singer and soon-to-be mum of three, Jennifer Love Hewitt, has shared a beautiful message to mark the nine-year anniversary of her mother's passing.

In a post on Instagram, the 9-1-1 and former Party of Five star shared a photo of a hand-written note which reads: "I have not heard your voice in years, but my heart has conversations with you every day."

She captioned the photo with a heartfelt message for Patricia Mae, who died at the age of 67 from complications associated with cancer:

"9 years today without my mom, best friend, teacher, idol and hero," she begins.

"Today I will celebrate you. I was forever changed because you were in my life and I was forever changed the day you left. I love you deeply."

Earlier this year on Mother's Day, Jen described her mum as a "hero".

"The moment you meet your hero, life begins. My mom was my hero from the second we met and only got better everyday."

Jennifer, who is already mum to two children with husband Brian Hallisay, recently announced she was pregnant again:

"Oh baby! We have another one on the way," she told her 1.1 million followers.
