Lenny Kravitz is on a mission to end hate speech and encourage more empathy, tolerance and inclusion.

The superstar has teamed up with the United Nations Human Rights Office for their #FightRacism campaign.

"Throughout my life and career, I have made it a priority to spread messages of love, equality and living together in peace," he says in a video posted to social media.

"There's no place in this world for discrimination in any form."

First launched in 2009, #FightRacism is all about standing up to racial prejudice, hate speech and all forms of bigotry.

"Today xenophobia, hate speech and intolerance are on the rise. So let's work together to eliminate the messages of hatred."

His single "Here to Love" has been chosen as the official theme song for the campaign and Lenny says he will actively promote anti-racism messages during his upcoming 2020 tour.

"I encourage everyone to join me in lending our voices to fight racism and to stand up for the human rights of every person. Let's promote tolerance, inclusion and respect for diversity in all nations and among all communities."
