Lewis Hamilton is heading to Ferrari for the 2025 racing season!

Reports had been circulating the Formula One star might be leaving his long-time team, Mercedes, and now it's officially been confirmed.

The seven-time world champion said in a statement to Sky News that he was "so proud" of his partnership with the team and all they have achieved together.

"Mercedes has been a part of my life since I was 13 years old. It's a place where I have grown up so making the decision to leave was one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make. But the time is right for me to take this step and I'm excited to be taking on a new challenge."

Lewis won six out of seven titles with Mercedes between 2014 and 2020.

He added, "I will forever be grateful for the incredible support of my Mercedes family, especially Toto (Wolff) for his friendship and leadership and I want to finish on a high together. I am 100% committed to delivering the best performance I can this season and making my last year with Silver Arrows one to remember."
