Megan Fox has a new project in the works - a book of poems!

The actor announced today that her debut venture into the writing world, titled Pretty Boys Are Poisonous, will be released on November 7.

"These poems were written in an attempt to excise the illness that had taken root in me because of my silence," she says in a statement. "I've spent my entire life keeping the secrets of men, my body aches from carrying the weight of their sins. My freedom lives in these pages, and I hope that my words can inspire others to take back their happiness and their identity by using their voice to illuminate what's been buried, but not forgotten, in the darkness."

According to publisher Simon & Schuster, Pretty Boys Are Poisonous is a "powerful debut from one of the most well-known women of our time" and showcases Megan's "wicked humour throughout a heartbreaking and dark collection" of 70 poems.

They add that Megan's writing is one of the most "deliciously compelling and addictive books you'll read all year."

Megan, who will next star in action film The Expend4bles, has often used her platform to speak out about the sexism she has experienced during her career. In 2021, she powerfully shared with InStyle that she spent many years "in a self-imposed prison" because she let other people dictate who she had to be, but now feels she's managed to break free and own her path.

Megan is also a mother to three children (whom she shares with ex-partner Brian Austin Green) and is engaged to musician Machine Gun Kelly.
