Her Royal Highness, The Duchess of Sussex has been working on a special project with British Vogue for the last few months. She has guest edited the magazine's September Issue, using the opportunity to put a spotlight on the women who inspire her.

From actress and life positivity activist Jameela Jamil to passionate environmentalist Greta Thunberg and New Zealand's leader Jacinda Ardern, all the women who appear on the cover were specifically chosen by Meghan Markle for their sense of “equality, kindness, justice, and open mindedness,” according to a statement on Sussex Royal.

Also appearing on the cover are Hollywood stars Yara Shahidi, Salma Hayek and Gemma Chan. And you might notice a blank space too - it's a mirror  so that “when you hold the issue in your hands, you see yourself as part of this collective,” it reads on the Insta post.

The Duchess of Sussex is the first person in history to guest edit British Vogue's September issue which she describes as "rewarding, educational and inspiring."
