Naomi Osaka is going to be a mum!

The tennis star and four-time grand slam champion is expecting a baby with boyfriend, rapper Cordae - which perhaps explains her withdrawal from the Australian Open this week?

Naomi shared her happy news with the world after posting an ultra sound photo on Instagram along with the caption, "Can't wait to get back on the court but here's a little life update for 2023."

She also posted screenshots of a statement in English and Japanese, part of which reads: "I know that I have so much to look forward to in the future; one thing I'm looking forward to is for my kids to watch some of the my matches and tell someone, 'That's my mom.'"

Naomi adds that "2023 will be a year full of lessons" for her and she hopes to take part in next year's Australian Open.
