Nava Mau Joins 'You' Season 5 as Guest Star

Breakout Baby Reindeer star Nava Mau has confirmed she'll be joining You, season 5!

After making history earlier this year as the first transgender actress to be nominated for a Supporting Actress Emmy in a limited series, Nava will now join Penn Badgley in the hit Netflix thriller as a guest star.

"Yeah... the timeline I've entered is officially surreal," she posted on Instagram while sharing the news.

"Joe Goldberg better watch out!"

According to Deadline, Nava will play Detective Marquez - and that's about all we know so far! Plot details are being kept tightly under wraps.

Season 4 of You was set in London where Joe Goldberg had donned a totally new identity after -erm- all the stuff that went down in seasons 1, 2 and 3. As Professor Jonathon Moore he manages to find Marienne, played by Tati Gabrielle, once again, and let's just say it all ended on quite the cliffhanger (no spoilers!).

Netflix confirmed in March last year that the fifth season would also be the final. Posting the news on social media, the streaming service wrote: “Brace yourself for Joe Goldberg’s final chapter” leaving us all wondering whether the infamous killer will finally get his judgment day.

Peter Friedlander, Netflix’s Vice President of Scripted Series in the U.S. and Canada shared in a statement: “We’re excited – and a bit terrified – to see how it all ends for Joe Goldberg, but one thing is for sure: ‘You’ are in for an unforgettable ending.”

Gasping just thinking about what could possibly happen!

There is no set release date for season 5 just yet, but it's expected to be out towards the end of 2024.
