Oprah Winfrey is once again using her influence to empower and educate women.

The media queen's foundation has launched a fully-funded fellowship for women from African countries to study at New York University's Wagner school of public service. It includes full tuition, housing, travel to and from the United States as well as a bunch of other expenses.

Sounding like a pretty sweet deal? It is! The only catch is that recipients must have the ultimate goal of making changes for good in their home countries, or as the University calls it, "deep and lasting impact on public service issues." Really, it's a win-win for everybody.

The aim here is to not only educate and empower African women, but also, to open doors for people who could end up being leaders in their fields.

This is one of many education initiatives the Oprah Winfrey Foundation has been supporting including Oprah's Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa which was opened in 2007 to give kids from an impoverished background, access to school.
