It's the 77th birthday of music legend Diana Ross and Oprah Winfrey is one of many, many people celebrating the superstar.
In a post on Instagram, the media queen describes what an inspiration Ms Ross has been in her life and how she sobbed before her first interview with her!

"The first time Diana Ross appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show, I sat in my tub the night before and sobbed into a towel in joyful anticipation," Ms Winfrey writes, sharing a snippet of the episode where she describes wishing she could be Diana Ross.
"I wanted to get all my tears out so I wouldn't make a fool of myself when I met her. I wrote her a letter sharing how much she meant to me because I knew I'd never be able to express it to her face."
Ms Winfrey says, "I still feel the same Diana Ross. You'll never know how much your glorious existence inspired me and others to find our own. I honour and celebrate your 77 years of being a shining star. Happy Birthday, Ms, Ross!"
And there you have it. An icon celebrating an icon.
