In a world of insta-gloss, Amy Schumer is refreshingly real. Never before have those early days of motherhood been so accurately depicted. Never before have we seen ourselves reflected in a celebrity's post-delivery photos!
It's been about two weeks since the comedian gave birth to baby Gene Attell Fischer, and much like her pregnancy photos, Amy's post-birth realness keeps popping into our feeds like a breath of fresh air.
“Women are the shit," she writes in a recent Mother's Day post. "Men are cool and whatever but women are fucking warriors and capable of anything.”
And this is what it all comes down to. Amy is celebrating what we can do, minus all the usual social media filters. There's no sugar-coating (or photo-shopping). It's just raw, real motherhood in all it's (baggy-undies) glory. And we can't get enough!
