She sets things on fire. She undercooks her dishes. And she almost slices off her finger.

Selena Gomez may be one of the biggest superstars in the world, but she's also all of us, cooking at home during quarantine!

The superstar has shared the trailer for her new show Selena + Chef, giving fans a little taste of the hilarity we can expect when the 10-part series airs on HBO Max next week.

"Hi, I'm Selena Gomez and I really love to eat but I'm not the best cook," she says in the clip. "So I've asked some of the best chefs to school me."

Joining her via video link are master chefs Roy Choi, Angelo Sosa and Antonia Lofaso among others, who remotely guide Selena through every step.

And she cooks up some pretty good-looking dishes: matcha chocolate chip cookies, spicy miso ramen, the perfect omelette and more.

Adveritsement

Selena's grandparents and friends are her taste-testers and they don't hold back. "Yeah that's not done," says one of her mates with a look of disgust on her face.

Yep, it may just be the most relatable cooking show we've seen on TV yet.

Selena + Chef will stream on HBO Max on August 13.
